The Story
Set on the valley floor with open water at its edge and the Wasatch Range beyond, this residence pairs blackened vertical timber with native stone and steel — a quiet, disciplined palette that lets the landscape lead.
Steep gables, deep overhangs, and full-height glazing were detailed to handle real mountain winters without softening the architecture. Outdoor rooms — a stone fireplace terrace, sunken spa court, and layered landscape walls — extend the home into every season.
